Since 2014, Fabrice Amédéo, a former investigative journalist at Le Figaro, has been travelling the oceans, working with researchers, putting his boat at the service of science. This skipper is also a writer. Committed, he helps raise children’s awareness of the protection of the oceans. The sailor is preparing for the next Vendée Globe, the biggest sailing race around the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance. He will start the Transat Jacques Vabre at the end of October. Another news and not the least, from June 9 to 18, he starts the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest mountain in Africa of 5,895 meters.  First stage: its arrival in Tanzania. He spoke with Houmi Ahamed-Mikidache a few minutes before his departure for this country in East Africa.
